LOTR: Sword of the With-King of Angmar
The sword from the Witch King of Angmar is a typical looking weapon, but
because of it’s wielder strikes fear into all who are made to face this
formidable weapon. The Witch King was most notably known throughout
Middle Earth history as the Witch King of Agmar; Angmar being the place he
established a kingdom in the Lost realm of Arnor where he practiced black magic.
Hence he was known as the Witch King of Angmar.
This weapon is simple, and decries all of the look and feel of a Medieval
weapon with a standard cross-guard that hints at a Claymore type guard design
with the upturned ends. The blade is not flashy or retain a glossy finish,
but has that embattled look of metal that is effective for its’ purpose.
It does not contain a ‘fuller’ as seen in more practical medieval weapons
designed to create a lighter weapon, but still retain its’ strength; much like
the steel ‘I’ beams used in construction. Instead, the blade cross-section
is more of an elongated diamond shape.
This sword is truly a beautiful weapon. To display the Witch King sword,
is to recognize that evil does at times reign but, despite the awe created by
such a weapon, good will invariably overcome. Display this work of art in rooms
that you desire to manifest a sense of power. Due to the color and texture of
the blade, the Witch King blade would be an excellent candidate for rooms with a
darker cast, and accent those rooms with stone walls.
